Pomodoro timer

A free Pomodoro timer that stays out of your way

The short answer

Goal365 is a free online Pomodoro timer built for calm, private focus. It starts on the classic 25-minute focus and 5-minute break cycle, lets you change every interval, and keeps accurate time when you switch tabs. After the first visit it works offline, and your sessions stay in your browser. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.

How to run a Pomodoro session

A Pomodoro session is one focus block, one short break, and a longer break after a set number of rounds. In Goal365:

  • Open the Focus view and choose Pomodoro.
  • Name the session or pick a task from the task panel.
  • Start the 25-minute block. The timer keeps time from an absolute end time, not by counting ticks.
  • When the block ends, take the 5-minute break. After four focus blocks, the long break follows.

Why the timer stays accurate

Background tabs are throttled by browsers, so a timer that counts down second by second can drift. Goal365 stores the time the segment should end and calculates what is left from your device clock. Switch tabs for half an hour and the session is still correct when you return. A reload resumes the same running segment.

Change the cycle to fit your work

The classic 25/5 rhythm is a starting point, not a rule. In Settings you can change the focus, short-break and long-break lengths, choose how many focus blocks come before a long break, and decide whether the next segment starts automatically. The same timer also includes 50/10 Animedoro, 52/17, a plain countdown and a stopwatch.

More than a countdown

A timer is easier to keep using when everything you need is in the same quiet place. Goal365 adds three task slots, a notes panel, 55 ambient sound beds, 15 ready-made scenes, and 300 themes across eight categories. The interface stays out of the way in full-screen mode, and the whole app can be installed like a native app.

Which focus rhythm should you use?

Use 25/5 for a first Pomodoro habit, 50/10 when a task needs a longer run-up, and 52/17 if you prefer a longer break after a near-hour block. A plain countdown is best for a fixed appointment or a timed practice paper. The stopwatch is for open-ended work where you want a record, not a deadline.

Questions people actually ask

Is Goal365 really free?

Yes. The timer, tasks, ambient sound and themes are free to use, with no ads, no account and no paid tier at launch.

Do I need an account to use the Pomodoro timer?

No. Goal365 opens straight into the dashboard. There is no sign-up, email or password.

Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. Goal365 stores the segment's end time and derives the remaining time from your device clock, so background-tab throttling does not make it drift.

Does it work offline?

Yes, after the first visit. The app shell, timer, tasks and generated soundscapes are cached on your device. Theme images and recordings are available once they have loaded.

Where are my sessions stored?

In your browser's local storage on this device. Goal365 has no account server that receives your focus history. You can export a JSON backup from Settings.

Can I install it as an app?

Yes. Goal365 is a progressive web app. Use the browser's Install option on desktop, or Add to Home Screen on iPhone and Android.
